SMART Family Literacy is Growing.
Full time and Part-time Positions

 Do you want to become a SMART Team Member? 

Our next team member must live in Galveston County.

If you can answer "Yes" to 3 of the following questions, you could be the next member of our SMART Team!

​

  1. Are you an outgoing and kind person who cares about young children and their parents? 

  2. Are you available from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays? 

  3. Are you fluent in Spanish and English? 

  4. Are you skilled in collecting and interpreting data, spreadsheets, social media, and other computer tasks using various ever-changing software? 

  5. Have you completed a Master's Degree in one of these: science, math, art, reading, technology, or a medical field? 

  6. Are you energetic and enthusiastic about heart-healthy activities, including eating vegetables, exercising, and going outside? 

  7. Are you available occasionally on Saturdays and able to recruit, train, and coordinate excellent volunteers? â€‹â€‹â€‹

with the following:

  1. A cover letter explaining why you and SMART Family Literacy are right for each other.

  2. A resume or CV

  3. Copies of university transcripts, teacher certificates, other licenses, or credential certificates

  4. Two letters of recommendation from people you worked for in a relevant occupation, or your advisor or professor from a university-level course you took. We do not accept letters from friends or coworkers.
